tier3 Synergistic Integration of Multimodal Lasers and Bioactive Substances for Severe Post-traumatic Facial Sequelae and Traumatic Tattooing: A Case Report. Cureus · 2026 · PMID 41732639

Abstract summary (English) Traumatic tattoos (TTs) with chronic scarring present a complex dermatological challenge, often requiring protocols to optimize pigment clearance and skin texture. This case report evaluates the synergy between a picosecond laser (Nd:YAG 1064 nm), a fractional CO₂ laser, and biostimulants. A 33-year-old female presented with a facial TT and scarring resulting from a 10-year-old injury.

tier3 Successful treatment of a traumatic tattoo in a pediatric patient using a 755-nm picosecond laser. Pediatric dermatology · 2018 · PMID 30303558

Abstract summary (English) We report a case of successful treatment of a traumatic tattoo in a 2-year-old patient. He presented with a green discoloration on the left infraorbital region after his sister accidentally hit him with a face paint brush while playing together. A single treatment with an alexandrite picosecond laser resulted in a complete clearance without any side effects for this disfiguring condition.
